Booster Club Meetings

June 03, 2008

 

7:05 p.m.- meeting called to order by Aime Robins.

 

Ms. Vera passed around contact sheets to update information.   

Aime Robins asked for a motion to approve last month’s

minutes. 

Donna Cole read the Treasurer’s report.  She will print it out if

we request a copy.  Cookie dough sales made a profit of

$1,746.90, and the Sonic car hop netted $711.19. 

Aime Robins announced the voting process for next year’s

board members.  The candidates for office gave short

speeches. 

 

Tiffanie Camp announced the committees: 

·        Telephone

·        Props

·        Spirit

·        Ads

·        Scrapbooking

·        Spring Show

 

Ms. Vera discussed discipline, and the difference between

removable demerits and non-removable demerits.  April 4,

2008 starts the calendar for merits/demerits.  Everyone needs

to verify with Ms. Vera that all paperwork is turned in.  Please

see her for details. 

 

Ms. Vera also discussed the New York trip, taking a head count

of how many people are planning to go.  Other than Topcats,

only parents and grandparents will be allowed to attend. 

Chaperones will be responsible for 4 kids/each.  There are

approximately 38 planning to go.  The total cost is estimated at

$1,200 to $1,300 payable in three payments. 

Team camp will be the dates first announced, with a staggered

schedule due to construction in the school. 

 

Beth Gonzalez spoke about the concession stand for next

year.  It is mandatory for each family to work….possibly only

one game each this coming year due to a higher number of

booster club members. 

 

Aime Robins announced the secretary for next year will be

Angel Laurent. 

Fundraising for the summer: attendance at 50% of fundraisers

is mandatory.
